My name is Lauren and this is my blog. I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself and the purpose of my blog.
From the beginning....
Well to begin my introduction I guess I should start with the basics. I am 24 and live in PA. I am a newlywed (since August 16, 2008) and fully enjoying every moment of my new role in life as a "wife." I married my high school sweet-heart, Toly (short for Anatoly) and have experienced and continue to experience all of life's most fulfilling endeavours.
I graduated from PSU in May of 2008 with a Humanities degree in English and currently work for a financial institution in the Marketing department as the Financial Education Coordinator. I love to cook and I consider myself a definite "foodie" always wanting to dive into the world of gourmet cuisine. I love to try new recipes and try them out on my hubby, family and friends. I am also a firm believer in living a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle and stand firm on this foundation.I consider myself a "Quasi-tarian"- no red meat, minimual amounts of chicken or poultry, but I do eat fish and dairy.
I incorporate daily exercise and recently discovered my interest and enjoyment in running. I run just about everyday, have completed 6 5K's, 1 10k, a 10 mile race, 1 1/2 marathon and am training for my 2 1/2 marathons this fall.
Being healthy and happy go hand-in-hand for me and I feel as though I have finally achieved the balance between the two. You see, my whole philosophy is that a healthy lifestyle is ultimately found when one stops trying to be healthy and just lives healthy. Eventually, you will not feel as though it is a struggle to obtain but rather a way of life that you subconsciously live by.I love my life! I am blessed with great friends, a remarkably loving family and a wonderful husband to share every day with. I feel fulfilled and entirely grateful for everything I have been given. I continue to grow in my faith, wellness and identity each day.I hope to shed a little inspiration with this blog by providing healthful insights, tips, and ideas on how live my everyday life. I am no expert and I don't believe in any way of telling others how to live, I just do the things that make me happy and if in doing so, I am able to provide any inspiration to others, than I truly feel as though I've made a difference.Enjoy and feel free to leave comments/questions anytime.

Your doggie is super cute! For some reason, I just figured out there was a link on the picture on the home page... hmmm.
I guess I would consider myself a "quasi-tarian" too!
Sammy is SOOOO adorable!! Small doggies unite :D
I think your doggie might have sold me on getting a pet!
I am a QUASI too! Too fickle to be defined...
If you have the chance, check out my site, especially what NOURISHES you?

Just found your blog from a comment on Mama Pea's. It's nice to find a health and foodie blogger, like myself, who also works in training and development for a bank. Ironic :)

Hey girl, I just discovered your blog. You seem like such a sweetheart! I am at Penn State right now studying Psychology and I love it! I can't wait to start following you (whoaaaa that sounded creepy, but you know what I mean!).
I just came across your blog and I have to tell you how much I love your overall outlook and perspective. We have a lot in common in that way! Looking forward to reading more.
I love your positive outlook!
And your adorable little dog. So gorgeous!
Hi Lauren, love your blog! What part of PA are you in? I love how all the healthy bloggers have meet-ups, although I am not a blogger I love reading what you all have to say and I am interested in finding people who share the same interest in healthy living as I have. I am from the Pittsburgh area.
you guys look like such a great couple! and your doggie is BEYOND adorable! :)
both of my grandmothers live in gettysburg - yay for PA love!
i love your philosophy! keep it up, and i'm sure you WILL influence many lives, girl :)
I love finding other PA bloggers. Yay!
I love the line "stops trying to be healthy and just live healthy." It becomes counterproductive to think about it so much. Obsession is not healthy. I eat healthy because it makes me feel good, but counting calories makes me crazy. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Love it!
Hey...just stopping by your blog to say hi! Love your reads and I see your comments on other blogs so I thought I should finally come say HI!
Just found your blog - it looks great! :)
This blog is fantastic Lauren! So glad you shared it with me! Much Love.
I just found your blog and I am loving it! I'm 23, from PA (all my friends went to PSU lol) and I'm running my first half in september too!
Can't wait to see how we do on it (:
Thanks for your comment on my blog! It meant a lot. Looking forward to coming back to PA and reading your blog in the future!
So glad I came across your blog girl! And how cute is your puppy??? You are too lovely!!
Adorable :)
I love your blog! Such a great bio :) I totally agree about the living healthy rather than trying to be healthy.
I'm actually leaving PA today! I've been at PSU all summer for a research program but now I'm heading home to TX.
