On Being Inspirational

by Lauren on March 2, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

Well I'm not sure about you, but my week has been incredibly busy.  I often feel like there are days when I have everything together and other days when I feel like my life is one big unorganized mess.  Maybe not that extreme, but I do have my moments when I feel like my plate is a bit too much.  I guess it's my own fault for biting off more than I can chew but regardless, I keep pressing on.

Today was wonderful though for many reasons but the main one being that I found out that I have been nominated for Fitness Magazine's 2012 Fitterati Awards as Most Inspirational Blog.  I really can't express how touched I am.  Just today I was telling one of my co-workers that the entire reason I blog is because of you guys!  I can't tell you the incredible pride and honor I feel when I receive an email telling me how I've helped someone in some way.  Truly, I gain so much worth and value from being able to inspire others through my own experiences.

I would be so so so grateful if you would take a moment and vote for me here.

Voting ends April 9th and the competition is tough because every other person nominated is so very deserving.  Either way, I'm thrilled to be nominated, so THANK YOU!

Okay, let's unwind from this long week with a lighthearted session of Favorites Friday shall we?

Favorite Awwww Moment:

You all know I have a thing for We Wa's!  This little bug reminds me of my Sammy when he is curled up in dream land.

Favorite Look For Summer:

It's March now which means I'm officially done with winter.  Summer please hurry so I can wear this adorable suit from J.Crew.

Favorite Indulgence

Oatmeal, Carmel, Chocolate…three of my favorite food groups into one delectable bar.

Favorite "I Should Make This" Moment:

Homemade Honey Nut Cheerios…three ingredients: Cheerios, Honey, Almond Extract.  Now, please tell me how I can make my own Peanut Butter Cheerios and I'll never fear when I run low.

Favorite Recipe in the Bank:

Peanut Stew with Sweet Potatoes and Spinach. Why don't I make stew more often and an even better question, why don't I put peanut butter into more savory dishes?

Favorite Words to Live By:

Truer words have never been spoken.

Well I hope you all have a very promising weekend.  Enjoy friends!
