I woke up to this….
The first snow of the season.
It wasn’t nearly as detrimental as everyone anticipated – maybe an inch or so – but it still brutally reminded me that summer is a long way out.
{Sigh}
How I long for summer.
I try to appreciate it’s beauty. I even feel inclined take photos of my oats with the winter wonderland backdrop.
But truthfully, I can’t wait for it to all be over.
If you haven’t gathered this already, winter is not my favorite season.
Unfortunately, I live in a climate that welcomes chilly temperatures, unsettled forecasts, and brutal winters. All the reason for me to start considering a move south.
Anyways, I have very little to actually compose tonight so I’ll just get to the most interesting part of my day…..
I had a date planned with my dearest friend for a much needed talk over a bottle of wine…
Before our girl-talk endured, I found myself with an hour to kill so I managed to hit up TJ-Max, which led to 60 minutes of trying on several wardrobe items I certainly did not need….
And walking out with a set of Christmas cards and tea towels. Random but expected.
My night ended with a Thai dinner over an entire bottle of red wine with my best friend. It. was. perfection.
