Snow Outside

by Lauren on November 27, 2012

I woke up to this….

The first snow of the season.

It wasn’t nearly as detrimental as everyone anticipated – maybe an inch or so – but it still brutally reminded me that summer is a long way out.

How I long for summer.

I try to appreciate it’s beauty. I even feel inclined take photos of my oats with the winter wonderland backdrop.

But truthfully, I can’t wait for it to all be over.

If you haven’t gathered this already, winter is not my favorite season.

Unfortunately, I live in a climate that welcomes chilly temperatures, unsettled forecasts, and brutal winters.  All the reason for me to start considering a move south.

Anyways, I have very little to actually compose tonight so I’ll just get to the most interesting part of my day…..

I had a date planned with my dearest friend for a much needed talk over a bottle of wine…

Before our girl-talk endured, I found myself with an hour to kill so I managed to hit up TJ-Max, which led to 60 minutes of trying on several wardrobe items I certainly did not need….

And walking out with a set of Christmas cards and tea towels.  Random but expected.

My night ended with a Thai dinner over an entire bottle of red wine with my best friend.  It. was. perfection.

Come on down to South Carolina! The cost of living is excellent, the weather is wonderful (today’s high was 59 and only that low because it was cloudy), and everyone is really nice!

Thanks so much for stopping by Andrea!

  8. I would be so happy to take the snow off your hands. Seriously, feel free to pack it up in a box and send it to me in Chicago. I am SO SICK of it being cold but not snowy, or worse, in the 50s. I just want winterrrrrr. I wish I could flip-flop the beginning and end of winter. I’d be thrilled to have this weather in mid-April instead of the 40s we’ll probably have. I’m just so hard to please weather wise 😛

  9. Lindsay says:

Was super bummed when I saw the snow outside when I woke up too! Fall is my favorite – not too cold, not too hot. I’m not a huge fan of winter either!

  10. Amanda says:

Ummm that wine looks delicious! Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening. And I agree with you in regards to the snow…my heart longs to move to southern California where the sun always shines and the temperatures are perfect!

  11. i love thai food! Was that kind of wine good? sounds good!

  12. Also, I’m so sad I can’t make the meet-up! My luck : /
