Well hello there!
I hate disappearing for a few days, but it was necessary. I spent the majority of last week in Chicago and then was sidelined for a few days with the flu from hell, and now I’m paying for it in catch up. While totally worth it, I’m still slightly behind.
Unfortunately, the extent of my excitement this week has been a few fun packages to review. Thankfully, I have a lot of really great stuff to giveaway next week, but unfortunately, I’m feeling a little pressed to get everything up before the holiday.
No worries, it all shall get done in good time.
Let’s kick things off with a a new pair of shades.
Now, let me start this review by saying, I hardly ever buy expensive sunglasses. My last pair was probably the most I’ve ever paid, and at $30, it was a big deal.
Much like my inexpensive taste in jewelry, accessories are just something I buy cheap.
A few weeks ago, Jessica from Sunglasses Shop contacted me with the opportunity to try out a brand new pair of Oakley sunglasses.
I’ve never owned a pair of Oakley eyewear but I do know they are top of the line when it comes to designer sunglasses.
I immediately went over the the site to start searching for a pair that I liked. It was tough. The Sunglasses Shop has many great styles to choose from, but eventually, I went with the Oakley Women Twentiesix.2 in dark plum.
Nestled neatly in a large white case, (which might I add, is just as nice as the glasses themselves) were my new shades.
Right away, I noticed how much I enjoyed the color. I wasn’t sure if I would, but the dark plum makes these a bit more feminine for aviators.
I was also impressed with the weight of the sunglasses. They are durable but but bulky. For having larger lenses, they are surprisingly more lightweight that I imagined.
Overall, I’m sold. Designer glasses are noticeably better in quality and style than my cheap Walmart shades. Now let’s just hope I can hold on to these longer than my past experiences.

I’m more of a cheap-sunglasses type of girl too, but I’ve always told myself that I would splurge on a quality pair of sunglasses when I can finally afford to. I think they make a world of a difference! I would get the Break Point Chocolate Sin- so cute!

I too have never had a true designer pair of glasses. My most expensive pair are from a legitimate eye glasses store, but I got them for free when I bought my contacts, I still take really good care of them knowing they actually cost $75. Otherwise, it’s cheapos from Walmart for me!
