Things this week have been rough.
I somehow injured my left calf so the result has been keeping me sidelined from doing any kind of running. It happened on Monday morning when I started to notice the pain during my morning run. It eventually grew to the point where I had to walk and eventually brought me to my knees. The cramping got so bad, I found myself immobile on the side of the road.
Yeah, not good.
I think I may have a strain but any kind of running is out of the question for awhile.
So rather than continue to get upset (we all know how much running injuries suck), I’m drowning my sorrow in things like Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oatmeal. Perfect remedy right?
What more could you want in a breakfast?
This baked oatmeal is borderline too good to be eating in the morning, but I promise, it actually has substantial nutrition and whole grains.
So I may not be able to wake up and look forward to hitting the pavement, but I do have this to look forward to.
